ASÍ HA SIDO ESCUELA DE JÓVENES PORTAVOCES SCOUTS

El fin de semana pasado concluyó la Escuela de Jóvenes Portavoces Scouts, una de las formaciones más interesantes que Scouts de España ha realizado en los últimos tiempos, junto con la Asociación de Escoteiros de Portugal y financiado por el Leadership Training Fund de la Fundación Scout Europea. En este proyecto 25 jóvenes de España y Portugal han aprendido, de la mano de profesionales del sector de la comunicación, cómo ser un buen portavoz para nuestra organización, con el objetivo de ser capaces de representar al Movimiento Scout.

La formación ha constado de tres sesiones, dos en Madrid y una en Lisboa, donde han adquirido conocimientos y competencias, tales como la capacidad de mediación, el uso seguro y crítico de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación, habilidades para gestionar su propio aprendizaje de manera individual o grupal, o cómo participar de una manera eficaz y constructiva, especialmente en sociedades cada vez más diversificadas.

En la primera formación se explicó qué es la figura del portavoz, cómo representar al Movimiento Scout, cuáles son los mensajes claves, el discurso y el buen orador, Elevator Pitch y, por último y para finalizar un gran fin de semana , María Cimadevilla, de Save the Children, nos enseñó la magia de la técnica del storytelling.

La segunda formación se centró en las Redes Sociales, la gestión emocional y la prensa, impartidas por profesionales como locutoras de radio y periodistas. Además, los asistentes pudieron evaluar, de la mano de nuestros portavoces, sus progresos desde el inicio de la Escuela hasta el momento y compartir conocimientos y vivencias entre ellos en Lisboa.

Y como broche final, en la última reunión pudimos aprender cómo es un plató de televisión (TeleMadrid), una emisora de radio (Radio Escuela M21), una redacción del periodico (ABC), en la que, entre otras cosas, pudieron ver fotografías originales de las visitas a España de BP, así como documentos que este diario guarda en su archivo histórico. Además, contaron con la charla de Fernando de Córdoba (@gamusino) que les enseñó cómo usar las redes sociales en el Escultismo.

La Escuela de Jóvenes Portavoces ha sido, además, un espacio de encuentro que ha servido para intercambiar experiencias, conocimientos y sentimientos entre jóvenes scouts de diferentes países. Un espacio de formación con vinculación de futuro en el que 25 jóvenes son la punta de flecha de la comunicación de nuestra misión y visión a la sociedad.

THIS IS WHAT THE YOUNG SPOKESPERSONS SCHOOL HAS BEEN LIKE

One of the most interesting training gatherings that Scouts de España and the Associaçao dos Escoteiros do Portugal have carried out together in the last few years, the School for Young Spokespersons, concluded last weekend. This project, financed by the Leadership Training Fund of the European Scout Foundation, has offered, 25 young people from Spain and Portugal the possibility to learn from professionals in the communication sector, how to be a good spokesperson for our organizations, with the aim of being able to best represent the Scout Movement.

The training was delivered through three different meetings, two held in Madrid and a third one in Lisbon, where they acquired knowledge and competences, such as mediation skills, the safe and critical use of ICTs, skills to manage their own learning individually or in groups, or how to participate effectively and constructively, especially in increasingly diverse societies.

During the first training it was tackle the concept and role of the spokesperson, how to represent Scouting, what the key messages and the speech are, as well as the characteristics of the good speaker and the Elevator Pitch. Finally, and to finish this great weekend, María Cimadevilla, from Save the Children, taught them the magic of storytelling.

The second training focused on Social Networks, the emotional management and the Media. All this concepts were taught by professionals such as radio presenters and journalists. In addition, attendees were able to evaluate, with the help of our spokespersons, their progress since the beginning of the School as well as sharing knowledge and experiences during their stay in Lisbon.

And as a final touch, during the last meeting, they visit a television set (TeleMadrid), a radio station (Radio Escuela M21) and an editorial office of a newspaper (ABC), in which, among other things, they could see original photographs of the visit of Baden Powell to Spain, as well as documents that this newspaper keeps in its historical archive. They also had a talk by Fernando de Córdoba (@gamusino) who taught them how to use social networks in Scouting.

The Young Spokespersons School has also been a gathering place for young scouts from different countries where exchange experiences, knowledge and feelings. A training event linked to the future where 25 young people will be the arrowhead of the communication of our Mission and Vision to society.
